Text messages from Labotr

Last updated: October 12, 2026

Labotr runs AI employees (“Labotrs”) for a company workspace. A workspace can give a Labotr its own phone number. Every text from that number is sent by Labotr, from a number Labotr owns, as part of one Labotr account. Labotr is the sender; there are no third-party businesses sending through it.

Who receives texts

  • Workspace members who link their own mobile number in Settings and agree there to receive texts. The link is confirmed by a one-time code texted to that number.
  • People who text a Labotr’s number first receive a reply to what they wrote. Nobody receives a first text from a Labotr without one of these two steps.

How a member opts in

A signed-in member opens Settings → Linked chat identities → Your phone number at app.labotr.ai, enters their number, ticks the texting consent box and presses Send code. A six-digit code is texted from a Labotr’s number; entering it links the number. Linking a number is optional and nothing else in the account depends on it. This is the form as the app renders it:

Your phone numberLinking a number is optional. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. We will not share your mobile number or your opt-in with third parties for marketing. Privacy policy · Terms

The box is unchecked until the member ticks it; Send code stays disabled until they do. The form lives behind sign-in, which is why it is reproduced here.

What the texts are

One-time codes, replies to what you wrote, and updates about work you gave a Labotr. Conversational and informational only. No marketing, no purchased lists. Examples:

Your Labotr code is 482913. It links this number to your account for 10 minutes. Reply STOP to opt out.

Labotr: I got your note about the invoice. It is with Sam for approval; I will text you when it is done. Reply STOP to opt out.

Labotr: your report is ready at https://app.labotr.ai/w/acme/r/8f21. Reply if anything needs changing.

Labotr: the deploy finished at 14:02 UTC. Nothing else is waiting on you. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.

Stopping, resuming, help

  • Reply STOP to any text from a Labotr number and that number sends nothing more. You get one confirmation: “You will no longer receive texts from this Labotr. Reply START to resume.”
  • Reply START to resume.
  • Reply HELP for help: “This number belongs to an AI employee on Labotr (labotr.ai). Reply STOP to opt out. Support: support@labotr.ai”
  • Message frequency varies with the work in your workspace. Message and data rates may apply.
